Mike Boeve made a strong statement to open the 2024 season, hitting an impressive .553 over 13 games with Class A Wisconsin. His early success quickly earned him a promotion to Class AA Biloxi, where he continued to showcase the talent and potential that caused the Milwaukee Brewers to select him in the second round of the 2023 MLB draft.
Splitting time between first and third base, Boeve performed well across Class A and Class AA last season. He posted a .338 batting average with 15 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 36 RBIs in 79 games. He remained productive throughout the season despite playing through a shoulder injury for much of the season. Boeve underwent labrum surgery following the year and is now rehabbing in preparation for spring training.
In an interview with Baseball Prospect Journal, Boeve reflected on his development as a player throughout his minor league journey, discussed his takeaways from the 2024 season, and outlined his goals and expectations for the upcoming year.
