Milwaukee Panthers junior catcher Daulton Varsho is off to a strong start this spring, hitting .347 with five home runs and 14 RBIs.
Varsho is a top prospect in June’s MLB First-Year Player Draft, as Baseball America ranks him as the 98th-best college draft prospect.
Last year as a sophomore, Varsho had a tremendous season, hitting .381 with eight home runs and 51 RBIs, while also handling the everyday catching duties. Varsho earned Horizon League Player of the Year honors in 2016, becoming just the second sophomore in the past 20 years to win the league award.
