The 2024 MLB draft begins on July 14 and features tons of parity among the top draft prospects. Georgia third baseman/outfielder Charlie Condon is the top-ranked prospect in this year’s draft, with a handful of college players closely behind him.
The Cleveland Guardians own the first overall pick after winning the draft lottery. It will be intriguing to see how the first round plays out. Overall, this draft class features a strong crop of college position players, while the high school position player group is the weakest.
Below is a guide to Baseball Prospect Journal’s in-depth 2024 MLB draft coverage.
