After months of preparation, the 2016 MLB First-Year Player Draft is finally here, with the draft getting underway on June 9. With teams sometimes skittish to select high school arms in the top part of the first round, uncertainty remains.
One player who’s draft stock has taken a major hit is prep Puerto Rico shortstop Delvin Perez. Once a potential top five pick, Perez will possibly slide completely out of the first round after testing positive for an undisclosed performance-enhancer.
